How to use this tool

    About this tool

    Parse CSV with quoted fields, commas and multiline values.

    Enter your values, run the tool and check the result before relying on it.

    Method and example

    The first CSV row supplies unique, nonempty property names. Every later row must have the same number of columns. Quoted fields can contain commas, line breaks and escaped quotation marks.

    name,score followed by Ada,008 produces an object whose score is the string "008". This keeps the original leading zeros.

    Before you use the result

    • The separator is a comma. A semicolon-delimited export needs conversion before using this parser.
    • Values remain strings; decide explicitly whether to convert a field to a number, boolean or date in your own application.

    Worked example

    CSV with header row
    name,score
    Aisha,95
    Ali,88

    Result for this example

    [
      {
        "name": "Aisha",
        "score": "95"
      },
      {
        "name": "Ali",
        "score": "88"
      }
    ]
